Script error gekco iphone toolkit4/3/2024 ![]() Eventually you have to move the files from their original location in itunes to your desktop. More hours of research and trial and error. When you uninstall your newer version of itunes, it too will orphan some l files, then when you reinstall the older version, it gets confused and can't read the files. Gotta go manually remove them because it gets confused and won't work when you reinstall a different version. and when you uninstall java 6 32 bit, it orphans library files in the x86 folder. ![]() jar files to open with the javaw executable file - Yes it has to be the javaw file, the w isn't a typo - none other will work - hours of research saved for you. I Finally uninstalled the 32 bit version of java and manually forced it to reinstall the same 32 bit version in the regular program files instead. bin files, just the lib files (and of course, the javaw.exe that gecko needs to read it's internal programming is in the bin files). But, for some reason when you install a 32 bit version of java 6 on my 64 bit computer, and it installs to the x86 program files - it doesn't install the. So then I figure out how to reassign the jar files to java in the x86 location (once I figured out what a jar file was and that it needed java to read it). Each of these uninstalls and reinstalls of different versions created their own problems and hours of research to fix them:įor instance, when I installed the 32 bit java, it wanted to install in x86 program files instead of regular program files (because I have 64 bit computer, I assume), but when it did, gecko gave an error code when I ran it- it orphaned the. I tried combinations of 32 bit java on my 64 bit computer and 64 bit versions of java. I couldn't tell you for sure which one was actually in control or worked. I ended up with 2 versions of java installed at the same time- a 32 bit java 6 update 30something and a 64 bit java 7 update 2. I tried hours and hours worth of combinations of java 6.update something? through java 8. Some say it won't work with 64 bit java.Īll say it won't work with newer versions of itunes, but none say which exactly it will work with. Some places say it won't work with windows 7 64 bit, others say it won't work with xp, some say it won't work on any version of java newer than 7.2, others say java6. Much reading convinced me it will not work on the 4s or newer, nor will it work on newer versions of ios than 5.something, at least that seemed to be the consensus. My phone is an iphone 4 with 4.something ios. I am running windows 7 64 bit with up to date java and i-tunes. problem after problem - read forum after forum extracting small clues and wading through lots of bad information. Now, the fun has just begun- open the program follow the vague instructions and. 4 separate removal programs and alot of manual deletion to get it all cleaned up, but my computer survived. ![]() Registry files, internet explorer hijacked, program files, etc. So, I finally did something I have never done before - unwilling to lose all of my data from my disabled iphone that had not been backed up, I willingly and knowingly downloaded an infected file and spent the next 8 hours cleaning up the mess. All were infected, full of malware, trojans, etc. I searched for hours and hours for a clean download, but none would pass my security scan. You won't find it on any legitimate download site. Well I didn't really overcome it - i just bit the bullet and chose the better of two evils. Which leads to the second big problem and one I almost did not overcome - finding a clean download. It is bad business that apple does not provide a legitimate, well distributed fix to this problem for honest owners of their own iphones. Your not going to find much information out there on the gecko toolkit program - I couldn't find any information from the original programmer, much less any reasonable or detailed instructions.īut, wherever you are- thank you for writing the program. If so, I hope this saves you a few hours. You have to decide if it's really really worth it to you to pursue this. I knew my password (grandkid locked it out), so I didn't use any of the other features, so I can't say whether they work. ![]() It is for real and it did eventually bypass my disabled iphone. I signed up so I could post some hard to find information on the gecko tookit.ĭownload, follow a few steps, and presto, right? well not that easy, but it will eventually work with enough time and persistence.ġst step: I did my homework and research and convinced myself it's a real program, not a scam. ![]()

Periodic table color code4/3/2024 ![]() ![]() I like to use this Metals, Nonmetals, and Metalloids observation lab early-on in my students’ exploration of the elements and the Periodic Table because students do not need to know about atoms– they only need to know how to make observations and a general sense of the Periodic Table. The student sheet is included as a digital version, too! #3: Metals, Non-metals, and Metalloids Lab The students enjoy looking at the pictures and seeing the elements in a “fresher” way! You could also have your students simply go to the website where the table is located and use this activity more like a webquest. I print a colored class-set of the table front/back (there is more information on the back of the squares), and a worksheet for each student. These include the number of valence electrons, atomic radius, number of electron shells, reactivity, boiling and melting points, electron affinity and electronegativity, and more! My most favorite activity to jump-start a unit on Atoms and the Periodic Table is this Periodic People activity. The Periodic Table is an amazing tool because it has SO MANY patterns embedded in it. I love this unit because the growth in my students’ understanding is so significant and they undergo a transformation before my eyes! With the exception of the occasional chemistry-obsessed student, most of my students start out this unit thinking that the Periodic Table is some sort of super complex graphic for brainiacs and mad scientists, or they simply think it’s an absolute bore.īut after a few weeks of study, they can navigate the families of elements on the table, interpret atomic structure based on an element’s position on the table, and glean information about how different atoms will interact with one another! Experiencing my students fall in love with the Periodic Table is amazing every year! In this post, I’m sharing some of my favorite activities to teach my middle school students about the Periodic Table. Too bad the local store only had a 40x30cm frame. The unit that I most love to teach is Atoms and the Periodic Table. I think it looks really nice in a frame, but also I wanted to protect it from the eventual dust that would settle on the pieces. I bought a cheap one from the homewares store nearby and tweaked it a little bit to accommodate the chart. In a 40x30cm frame I bought from the homewares store The measurements of the Periodic Table of LEGO Colors are 40×30 cm with a 1.5 cm depth, so a frame with that width and height plus at least 4mm depth should work well. I really like that it was ready to hang on my wall, although I do think I will take a cue from WLWYB’s product page and find myself a frame for it. ![]() There’s no assembly required for this gift, which may or may not bum out some LEGO fans. The bricks and plates are affixed to the chart, and there’s a pop-out cutout in the back so it’s ready to hang. Inside is the Periodic Table of LEGO Colors protected in a layer of bubble wrap. It comes shipped in a minimalistic box with tape that bears the company’s name. I’m not sure this chart is 100% accurate to date (it says 2021) but I do think it would make for a wonderful gift to an AFOL regardless. The Periodic Table of LEGO Colors v2.0 has 65 different colors, each in a box with an abbreviation of the color’s name, the years in production, Bricklink ID, and LEGO ID. While AFOLs endlessly sort and find ways to make their LEGO brick collections nice and tidy, WLWYB has come up with fun wall art that may help them while brightening up their LEGO rooms. ![]()

Fireside bowl book4/3/2024 ![]() ![]() The seventh helmet from the left, the second in the AL Central, is red - but no team currently in the division has a primarily red helmet or cap. This is where things get a little tricky. ![]() It also helps that those four teams’ logos have pretty much stayed the same since the advent of sundae helmets. Once you realize that this is the AL East, it’s not hard to pick out the last four of those teams, based on the helmet color, the blurry logos and the color in the logo. We initially started identifying teams starting on the right and moving left, because the logos are clearer on the right, but process of elimination led us to the conclusion that the five helmets on the left are the AL East: Rays, Yankees, Red Sox, Blue Jays and Orioles. Click on any of the team names to see the variations over the years at Lichtenberg’s site. With the help of Eric Lichtenberg’s sundae helmet resource, let’s take a look. They’re arranged by division: AL East, Central, West NL West, Central, East.Īnd that’s how we were able to figure out the helmets where the logos were indistinguishable and to realize that this collection is most likely a mixture of original 1970s helmets supplemented with newer ones, particularly for the 1990s expansion teams. It didn’t take long for the pattern to emerge. We paused the movie and started identifying the ones we could see clearly. So what does a midcentury bowling alley have to do with baseball? In a quick view of the bar, I spotted above the beer bottles and below a shelf of toy trucks, a line of helmets - a complete collection of ice cream sundae helmets. Daniel Kaluuya watches Viola Davis walk out of Fireside Bowl on W. While I’ve never been there, it just had the feel of some place I’d seek out. One of my favorite things about “The Blacklist” on NBC is trying to figure out which New York neighborhood they’re using as a stand-in for Washington, D.C.Īnd so while watching “Widows,” the 2018 Steve McQueen movie starring Viola Davis and Michelle Rodriguez about the wives of thieves who put together a heist following the deaths of their husbands, I was struck by the entrance of Fireside Bowl in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood. I’m also always scanning the locations of scenes that aren’t shot on a sound stage, at least in projects filmed in cities I know. There are times when the hair on the back of my next stands up to hear a reference to the Dodgers or Babe Ruth when it’s not expected. I’ve developed this sixth sense when watching movies and TV shows to spot baseball references in the background or to pick up on them in lines of dialogue. ![]() Back of the bar at Fireside Bowl in Chicago. ![]()

Civil war 2 free online download4/3/2024 ![]() Brevoort, who also edited the first series, stated, "The attempt was to craft the conflict so that each side held a valid and defensible position, so that a reader could fundamentally agree with either one side or the other, with neither being painted as absolutely right or absolutely wrong. The series, which debuted in June 2016, is a sequel to the 2006 " Civil War" storyline which pitted Iron Man against Captain America (Steve Rogers) in a conflict about national security versus civil liberties. In December 2015, Marvel Comics announced the details of Civil War II, whose core miniseries would be produced by writer Brian Michael Bendis, artist David Marquez, colorist Justin Ponsor, and editor Tom Brevoort. The repercussions of the storyline resulted in the new status quo of the Marvel Universe presented in the subsequent "Divided We Stand" storyline, which was released as part of the company's 2016 Marvel NOW! relaunch. Predator vs prey game4/3/2024 ![]() They know when the odds are the highest for this high-protein food source. That said, it waits until the annual salmon run to spend the bulk of its time hunting these creatures. ![]() It also targets one of the smallest prey animals - fish. The brown bear is one of the largest land predators. This can catch them off guard and maximize the odds of success. Takeaway: If legal, target game animals where they sleep. Interestingly, while they do target animals on the ground, one of their preferred methods is to climb trees and snatch squirrels right out of the nest. Bobcatsīobcats are among the most agile predators on the continent. Takeaway: Take a page from the bird of prey playbook and (safely) hunt from an elevated position. This helps them to see better, and makes it more difficult for prey to see them. These avian predators use height to their advantage. ![]() Virtually every bird of prey hunts from above. Takeaway: Stalk behind a two-dimensional decoy that mimics the game animal. Furthermore, it has eight legs, but pretends to have only six - again, like ants - by raising the front two into the air to serve as false antennas. They have large color patches around their eyes to make it seem as if they have two eyes, like ants. One of the cleverer tactics is found with the ant-mimicking spider. For shotgun hunters, an off-target shot - or a shot to the base of the limb a squirrel is hiding on - can shake them loose for a follow-up trigger pull. Takeaway: Squirrels commonly hide behind limbs, leaves, etc. One of the most interesting marine animals, archerfish commonly use a fountain of spit to knock insects off leaves above the surface. Prey: How 20 Different Wild Animals Hunt Archerfish Here are 20 different animals, how they hunt, and why it applies to us as hunters. And understanding how nature’s most effective hunters pursue their food can make us more efficient hunters, too. The numerical solutions reproduce the observed patterns of the Gillespie simulations including even extinction events, so that the mean-field analysis here is very conclusive, which is due to the specific implementation of rules. The hunter-prey relationship transcends the animal kingdom.įortunately, as hunters, we strive to dispatch game in a quick, ethical manner. The linear stability analysis predicts the number of forming domains, their composition in terms of species it explains the instability of interfaces between domains, which drives their extinction spiral patterns are identified as motion along heteroclinic cycles. In this limit we perform a linear stability analysis and numerically integrate the resulting equations. We discuss the deterministic limit derived from a van Kampen expansion. These observations are based on Gillespie simulations. This means that we observe a dynamical generation of multiple space and time scales with emerging re-organization of players upon segregation, starting from a simple set of rules on the smallest scale (that of the grid) and changed rules from the coarser perspective. The (2,1)-game has a winner in the end, so that the coexistence of domains is transient, while agents inside the remaining domain coexist, until demographic fluctuations lead to extinction of all but one species in the very end. Once the players segregate from a random initial distribution, domains emerge, which effectively play a (2,1)-game on the coarse scale of domain diameters, while agents inside the domains play (3,1) (rock-paper-scissors), leading to spiral formation with species chasing each other. As a concrete and simplest example we analyze the (6,3) game. For special combinations of N and r and appropriate parameter choices we observe games within games, that is different coexisting games, depending on the spatial resolution. Further basic reactions include reproduction, decay and diffusion over a one- or two-dimensional regular grid, without a hard constraint on the occupation number per site, so in a ‘bosonic’ implementation. ![]() We consider (N, r) games of prey and predation with N species and r < N prey and predators, acting in a cyclic way. ![]()

![]() ![]() My idea of the micro-neighborhood roughly maps to census tracts reported by the US Census Bureau: each time I’ve moved apartments, I’ve lived in the same neighborhood but a different census tract. I hope this multi-city view offers useful context and lets us draw some interesting comparisons. This post explores the micro-neighborhoods across six West Coast cities: Seattle, Los Angeles, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose. We might describe our cities differently if we focused on micro-neighborhoods just a few blocks in size, where we’re more likely to interact with our neighbors and where the built environment has a tangible effect on everyday life. That overview gives some context for our neighborhood-it’s about twice as dense as Seattle overall-but it fails to differentiate the single-family mansions surrounding Volunteer Park from the dense and highly walkable blocks near the light rail station. There are about 32,000 people spread over 1.6 square miles of Capitol Hill, for a population density of 20,000 people per square mile. ![]() Those differences got me thinking about the scale at which we understand cities. Three blocks was close enough to haul boxes by hand, but far enough to change the ways I experienced the neighborhood: the closest groceries/coffee/restaurant, the best bike routes, and the neighbors and landmarks I saw daily. How do Seattle micro-neighborhoods compare to other West Coast cities?ĭuring the time I’ve lived in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, I’ve changed apartments twice, moving about three blocks south each time. ![]()
